Winter Break so far..

So... I got a new tablet! Woohoo!
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season! I am relieved, I got some time off of work to come home for the holidays and I've been busy drawing away.
So.. This is a big post!
I've been frequent on my tumblr with these, but Blogspot does take a little more effort to upload and talk about each piece, so here it goes!

I've been receiving requests for commissions lately and I am ecstatic!
I have never been payed for artwork until now and it is so wonderful!

A bear adventure!

A quicker bear and landscape sketch when I first opened my new intous!

A commission for my friend Summer, who really loved the bear sketches
and wanted one for her boyfriend!

My first commission!! A friend of a friend commissioned this drawing of him and his girlfriend!

I think this is a record.. I watched a good six seasons of doctor who in about a week..
while still going to work and drawing.. its a good show.

A Game of Thrones commission for my friend Claudie!

I got the Nausicaa manga compilation for christmas,
and I love the colours used in his watercolour sketches and in the movie.
So wonderful had to play around.
It is definitely one of my favourite Ghibli films.

A secret Santa gift for my classmate Erika,
She is so talented I was so worried she wouldn't like it!
It is a character from an anime called : tanken driland

Doodless

Some character doodles, I am really trying to play with
character design and get a little more comfortable.
I'd also like to push and further my style.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed all of this artwork! I shall have more to come I am sure by the end of the break!!

Happy New Years!

Art Dump!

So I am MOVING!
My parents bought a house near Linsday, and we are moving Thursday to the new house!
I finally found a living arrangement for school, and I move to Oakville September 1st!!
The house is almost empty, and lots of hectic packing has been done. It is my last day at my part time job tomorrow, and I am mentally preparing for that!

Here is an art dump of a bunch of stuff I have done when I've had time!

A little drawing I did for my boyfriend, he really liked my Sheridan one, so I drew him playing his acoustic!

 --------------
 Art Jam 2000
So we did an art jam with the facebook group for my program. In this jam we did 5 minute art challenges by combining words so animals / professions, turning objects into characters etc. Here is what came out of it!
"Corgi Wizard"

"Centaur Stripper"
"Guitar Character"

--------------
So I started watching Pokemon from the beginning, and ended up doodling Misty while watching some of the episodes, I am considering doing a drawing of all of the characters and just leaving this doodle how it is!
Misty from Pokemon
 --------------
A little drawing I did based on a friend's band. They are amazing!

I  have a lot of sketchbook stuff too, but most of them are packed, and my scanner and camera are all packed up too! I will update that soon :)

Bye for a little while Blogger!
I shall check back in probably when I move into my apartment if not sooner <3

How to Train Your Dragon -- Diving into Fan Art!

So many people have told me to do fan art... so I finally did. With the trailers out for How to Train your dragon 2, as well as my slight obsession with the app game "DragonVale" on my ipod touch... it just seemed like a good place to start!

This was also inspired by Alanna and Katherine, who are both talented friends of mine (and future roomies). They have been doing a lot of digital art recently to sell prints at a convention, including some httyd stuff, which made me want to draw some toothless :)

Hiccup and Toothless reaching for the stars!

This was a fairly fast drawing, only a couple of hours, and most of the time was spent figuring out what to draw!!
Anyways, its 3AM again... I need to start sleeping a little earlier!
Hope you enjoyed it!
