Digital Tools Short film!!

It is finally done!! For digital tools we had to display our understanding of adobe premiere with a short film!
We had to include at least 3 coloured layouts, 3 seconds of animation, 3 transitions, 5 layer moves and 5 sound effects/music!!

I think it turned out pretty cool, the animation is choppy, but it was a lot of work to do this on top of all of our other assignments, I am pretty happy with it!! The song in the video is written by my boyfriend Adam :) (Such talent)

Some of the layouts used:

Hope you guys liked it :)

MARINE ANIMAL / BOOK PAGE TURN ANIMATION!! -- S & C curve woo!

Alright guys! Reading week has arrived!! Wow already!!
I have some rough and cleaned up animation to show you!! Yay!!
I have my book page turn and of course the marine animal! -- what animal do you think I did?
I think it is pretty obvious ;)

We could choose to clean up either our book animation or our marine animal. The book gave me a bit of trouble, but I am going to keep practising and hopefully get better :)

Book Page Turn - Rough Animation!

Marine Animal was a LOT of fun! I got to do an awesome background and animate a character!! We will be cleaning it up in digital tools, so I will re-upload a video in which the rough animation goes into the clean then into the coloured version!

One more cool thing to show you guys...

Panned Background!

One of the cool things about this project was doing the panned background! My teacher Michel Hannan really loved it, and she decided to make my background a "pre-set" for next year - meaning if anyone doesn't have time to make a background, they can use mine! So cool! So honoured!!

I hope you enjoyed this post! We had a lot due this week - hands and feet, life drawing portfolio, animation! Wow!
I had great time management and didn't stress too much!
I have to get going to work now, but I shall post stuff over the week as I get things done!

I also have a doctors appointment for my wrist/hand, so hopefully that will be fixed soon!

Have a great weekend!

Digital Tools Yeti!

I lied, I am going to post Life Drawing tomorrow because I am too excited to show you guys this!

Digital tools is a class to help us learn about programs we will be using in our animation class. There is no need to do good art or animation, you just need to show that you can use the program.... I went a little over board...

This is the rough (basically pencil test) loop of the Yeti

First Animations!

My first animations guys!
Pretty basic for now but very time consuming.
Bouncy ball, Bowling Ball, Balloon and then the Pendulum!
Balloon was by far the most challenging, and adding the structure to the bowling ball took a while as well, but I think they turned out pretty good!
I am very excited to learn more!

Anyways enjoy!!

Sheridan Animation Portfolio 2013

UPDATE: March 25th 2013 Accepted into Sheridan Animation Program!!
I hope that this portfolio will inspire and help anyone trying to get into Animation at Sheridan College.
It took me three years to get in, so no matter what if this is your dream keep fighting for it!
Best of luck to anyone applying, and I hope you enjoy!

~

As many of you may know this is my third year trying to get into the "Bachelor of Fine Arts : Animation" program at Sheridan College. It is a world renowned program and it has been my dream since I was in grade 2... seriously.

Last year I was very close to getting into the program, but after appealing and such it just didn't happen. Anyways, it is due Monday February 25th.  I am happy with how it turned out this year and I hope you all enjoy it!

The lighting is different in each picture because I took some in the morning (which had lovely natural light) then re-took them just now (for lots were blurry).

Scott Dancing

The "I just don't care" dance
choreography by Scott Pearson
~
Today at work, it was claimed that I have a really dorky dance when upbeat  songs come on...
which is true...
But then Scott started dancing.
I love my job!!

This resulted in a very choppy animation made at night time during one of the most painful headaches of my life.
Goodnight!!
