Scott Dancing

The "I just don't care" dance
choreography by Scott Pearson
~
Today at work, it was claimed that I have a really dorky dance when upbeat  songs come on...
which is true...
But then Scott started dancing.
I love my job!!

This resulted in a very choppy animation made at night time during one of the most painful headaches of my life.
Goodnight!!

2D & 3D design

Hey guys! I haven't been very diligent for posting every project this year so far, I want to show you things once they are completed and all of the steps, so it often takes longer to post these projects!!

2D design - Architectural Shape Line and Texture project!

For this project, we had to look at architectural forms and simplify them into shape, line and texture using black and negative space! First we had to do ten thumbnails of potential projects!

Thumbnails

Next, our teacher picked three thumbnails he wanted to see as roughs!

Rough #1
Rough #2
Rough #3

After checking with our teacher one final time, we created a linear transfer to use on our final piece!
The pencil transferred onto the illustration board we were using for our final piece.

Linear transfer

And lastly we repainted/inked the final piece, using a sheet of black mayfair paper to frame the final copy.

Need a better camera for sure -- but I hope you enjoyed that project!!

3D design - In class project

I was so excited for this next project!
GIANT. CARDBOARD. SHOES.
And I went crazy --- brought in my roller-skates!!

I am actually so amazed we had it done in time!!
3 hours of hard work payed off, and our GIANT roller skate was completed!!! WOOOOO!!
I was so lucky to be in a group with Alex and Miyuki, both very talented and hard working girls!!

ENJOY THE BEAUTY!!!

Week 7 - Life Drawing

Hey guys!! I am back with some more work to post!
We have been working on our skeleton hand project in Drawing class, but it is not finished yet, that should be posted with in the next couple weeks! Tomorrow I am going to post my 3D and 2D projects that I have been putting off posting!
Can't wait for next week -- reading week a WHOLE week off!!! I am going to work on my portfolio!!! WOOO
By the way, I did not win the Adventure Time T-shirt design contest... oh well, maybe next time!

... without further ado... This weeks life drawing.

[ I really have to apologize for the photo quality -- the first one is okay, but the rest are terrible. Bad camera + Bad lighting... I need a nice camera desperately...]

I wish I didn't have to hand this in right away,
This is a cross contour (relief) drawing!
Basically using U shaped lines -- both hills and valleys
we had to create the form of the model!!
I love the foreshortening, I think it turned out pretty good!!

Week 6 - Life Drawing

Hey guys!
Boy is school going by fast!!
Thanksgiving was full of turkey delight as usual, though I wish I spent more time with my grandparents as opposed to work - but my job is alright, so it is all good!

Everything is going okay with school, procrastinating a huge colour theory project currently because I really do not want to do it! Everything is especially good in Drawing class, my teacher Antonio has no negative feedback for any of my drawings so far -- which... well it is good, because I am doing it right... but I want some feedback to help me get better as an artist, I have already learned so much about line quality.. I just need like reassurance in my usage of it.. which I guess must be good because .. he hasn't said it isn't??
My god do I confuse myself!

I bought a whole bunch of clothing online -- thanks to my wonderful Gramma!!
I am really excited to start dressing better and feeling good about myself -- it's part of my master plan.. you know to not be depressed all of the time.

Anyways!! You don't want to hear me ramble -- here are the drawings from this weeks class / extra life.
Man do I wish I lived closer to school... I'd be there every night.

I will try to get a better photo of this one!

In the drawing above, she seems very disproportionate, if I had a longer pose I would have measured everything - but while drawing it all seemed to line up! It's not that she was a very large woman - but she did have curves, so it was lovely drawing her -- just got a few awkward drawings in the mix -- I like this one even though it feels off... maybe thats why I like it?

A measurement exercise we did in class -- the time felt endless hahahaa
Just wanted to show you my "makeshift"
newsprint pad. Loose sheets taped together  with
blue painters tape. Ghetto Chic!
