Digital Tools (Again)

For some reason I get too excited about projects in this class, here my "title page" for my work!
They are apparently going to use it before any animation work we do that is shown on the monitors at school!
Anyways here it is:

I will post life drawing this weekend, I have had bad hand issues this week and it really hurts to do much of anything/I am too lazy to sort through all of that newsprint right now hahaha, so bear with me!
The weeks are moving way too fast, but it shows how much I love this program!

Thanks for reading guys

Digital Tools Yeti!

I lied, I am going to post Life Drawing tomorrow because I am too excited to show you guys this!

Digital tools is a class to help us learn about programs we will be using in our animation class. There is no need to do good art or animation, you just need to show that you can use the program.... I went a little over board...

This is the rough (basically pencil test) loop of the Yeti

Knox the Fox

My First Character Design Project!
We had to come up with a character and rotate it, which I often struggle with!
I can't believe I did an animal! I am pretty proud that i managed to do this, I hope I do well!
He is so evil hahahaha!
Lots of life drawing to update you guys with, so that is tomorrow!
See you then!

First Animations!

My first animations guys!
Pretty basic for now but very time consuming.
Bouncy ball, Bowling Ball, Balloon and then the Pendulum!
Balloon was by far the most challenging, and adding the structure to the bowling ball took a while as well, but I think they turned out pretty good!
I am very excited to learn more!

Anyways enjoy!!

Week 1

Week One of Animation has already flown by!
I have had all of my classes now! Layout, Character design, Animation, Painting, Storyboard, Digital Tools, Story Development, Animation Principles and of course Composition and Rhetoric.

Yeah that is a lot of classes.
I am very excited though! I have been working on my animation homework these last few days, and I can't wait to post it up on here once the assignment is complete!

Life Drawing is a little scary. I have to conform how I usually draw to suit the expectations of the course. Instead of my crazy gestural lines, I have to keep the energy and structure but abolish all of the extra line work. A very linear, short handed sort of approach. The lines for Extra Life are already insane. Yesterday I couldn't even get a spot and today even being an hour early I barely got a seat! A mob of artists!

These aren't great drawings, not at all, but I think I am starting to get the idea of less gesture and just putting down the essential lines.. I swear I will get better, I will work my butt off!
(I am going to throw in the superb rustyness from lack of life drawing this summer hahahah shame on me)
Trying out a super simple gesture!

Less lines to describe the form

Pay no attention to the head and feet hahah

A little wonky again, but simpler lines

I am not proud of these drawings but its a great way to keep track of my progress this year!
I have done a lot of sketchbook stuff recently too, so that is most likely my next post!
Thanks for reading!

Sketchbook Stuff!

So I started Animation at Sheridan yesterday! It is all intros and such this week but I get to go to Life Drawing tomorrow morning and I can't wait!! I will have a longer post about this week at the end of the week!

Anyways I kept saying I'd upload some sketchbook stuff so here is the start of my newest one, enjoy!

Poor lonely monster..

A princess and a thoughtful naked girl

Playing around with simple shapes and studying
 some samurai jack background techniques!

Weird creature and it's rider, not exactly sure what it is hahah

That is one sassy man on the left ;) And some background doodles

This is from our first character design class!
We had a few minutes to sketch an influential character/show/movie etc.
from when we were younger... can you tell what it is ;)

And we had to also draw the person next to us as
a sort of character :) It was supposed to get us
to meet new people but I was next to my friend Alanna!
Thanks guys! I will be back soon with some life drawing and more stuff from my amazing program!
